It will have to be economy but budget shouldn't be a problem as I'll be claiming it on the company.

I was thinking of SIN-JFK-MCO where the SIN-JFK leg would earn a good 9000+ miles, but JFK-MCO would probably have to be on a non star alliance airline. As compared to something else like SIN-FRA-MCO where LH can still earn KF miles (right?)...

Have tried looking on the SIA website and skyscanner but they're not the most user friendly at juggling various permutations, hence seeking some pearls of wisdom!
