As said on the last message, the Citizen M is usually a bit cheaper than the Sheraton and the Hilton. Those 3 hotels are located right outside the terminal, outside the secure area. You also have the option of staying within the international / non-schengen zone of AMS at the Yotel or the Hotel Mercure. That being said, you will have to clear security and will not be able to bring luggage larger than a compliant carry-on.
I stayed at the Yotel several years ago and it was fine for a 7 hour sleep. Nothing fancy, but the most convenient option depending on your departure time.
So I'm doing more or less exactly the same thing later in Dec flying CX as well. I was going to stay in Hilton then had a look at citizenM per above. CitizenM gives 104eur versus 167eur at the Hilton which isn't too bad as I get breakfast as well as HH gold. I presume CitizenM rate doesn't include breakfast; is there anything worth eating in the oneworld lounges?
