The Hilton (NOT the Hampton, which is a shuttle away) and the Sheraton are both within the airport itself. However they are often quite expensive so I tend to stay at the Citizen M, which can usually be had for under €130 a night and is perfectly fine for an overnight stop. From the terminal, it's a 5 minute walk under a covered walkway.

As said on the last message, the Citizen M is usually a bit cheaper than the Sheraton and the Hilton. Those 3 hotels are located right outside the terminal, outside the secure area. You also have the option of staying within the international / non-schengen zone of AMS at the Yotel or the Hotel Mercure. That being said, you will have to clear security and will not be able to bring luggage larger than a compliant carry-on.
I stayed at the Yotel several years ago and it was fine for a 7 hour sleep. Nothing fancy, but the most convenient option depending on your departure time.
