I was thinking of a short trip to either Greece/Rome(from AUS) during the last couple of weeks in November- 2017. I have enough miles for a family of 5. However all of the options to get to Greece(on the saver awards for both Economy and Business) are being routed through LHR and thus racking up exorbitant charges.

Are there any other alternative routes/suggestions I can look at(without LHR).
