I agree the transfer options of CSR are the sweet spot for most of us and these are much more diverse under Chase.
Bottom line for me is CSR offers everything I want in a premium travel card
(low price, great insurance, excellent points for travel, dining, and superior redemption options).
I remain miffed that AMEX chose to stiff the Corp Card Holders by including zero of the new Plat benefits. Likewise my personal gold was pretty much an uninspired offering. That is maybe another AMEX 'issue' so many levels of Platinum and Gold you had to do an investigation as to what benefits you received particularly with different Corp/ Business products.
Anyway, even AMEX faithful have to give kudos to CSR- the shocking success of the card with little marketing certainly caused AMEX to wake up and boost the personal Platinum universe albeit charging more for it.
