Almost, but not completely.

A 787 in Y is a disaster, yes it has new IFE, but the seats are narrow and legroom is frequently restricted by the IFE boxes.

Get a refurbished 747 though and you get the newest IFE and the same seats you always used to have with new cushions and coverings.

WT+ is pretty much "newer = better" with the refurbed 747 potentially edging that a little.
