I do 33/34 way too often
You get a comfortable ride in J. I find the desert better out of YVR than out of SYD but given I would like to drop a few lbs that's not a huge deal .
You also get very senior crews as this is a very popular route. I've had the pleasure of getting to know most of the regulars and they are (usually) fantastic.
I prefer the mini J cabin as it is a bit quieter but be warned, if you are the last row, when they deserve PE and Y's midflight stack , they start half in the J cabin. If you are a light sleeper, it may wake you up .
The only annoying thing about 34 is the gate in YVR. While it is great to stretch your legs, it is a LONG walk from the gate to customs to security and back to the gate . Plus YVR CASTA isn't known for their speed .
Overall, given I've done that flight consistently for 9 years (damn...) It is usually AC at their best (or close to it)
