Overall, I was fairly happy with my flight experience in J:
- private, all aisle access pods in a 1-2-1 config (as you probably know) - which is the most important aspect IMO when flying J
- lunch upon departure
- mid-flight snacks
- breakfast/brunch before arrival
- service probably slighty better on the outbound (it's my understanding that FAs only spend 24h on the ground in SYD, so some are a little tired/unmotivated on the return flight)
- AC seems to cater fewer mid-flight snacks (e.g. sandwiches, salads, soups) theses days and often runs out of snacks if you don't order early
- wine selection is nothing to write home about
