I think the posts here imply yes but want to get an explicit confirmation from the knowledgeable folks here:
  1. If you check-in with less than 12 hours from flight time, are the seats still pay blocked?
  2. If you requested for a seat up front when checking in at the airport, will the TA just give it to you, ask for payment or flat out refuse and give you some random seat?

Have my first 9W flight coming up from BOM to PNQ. Short flight so not a big deal but a bit of extra legroom without extra payment would be nice.
