I'm all for calling out AA when (yet more) evidence surfaces of its diminishing product quality, but indeed this is
clearly nothing more than a miscater, compounded by a flight attendant who offered some very bad guidance about what would appear on the plate. (Arguably, a bigger issue than the original catering problem.) I had the lobster roll for lunch on a JFK-SFO flight last fall, and found it to be one of the best things I've enjoyed on AA in more than two decades.
