I'm surprised BA let you fly - there is no way the Emirates would have let you - if that was reported in DXB you wouldn't have gone anywhere until you had a fit to fly certificate from a DR which as awful as that may have been would probably have been in the best interest of everyone!
I, too am surprised that BA let me fly, even though, at the time I felt much better and thought I was okay. My son, who is a physician, was shocked that I was allowed to fly when he realized how really sick I was. He said he never remembers me being so ill. As I have said earlier, I would never have flown if I knew what was coming
later.
