Thanks for the report, @hannisen! A very nice review, indeed, and sounds like you had a very nice time.

(1) You mentioned that the air con was efficient. Care to elaborate? I am curious to learn how cool it kept your OW villa during the day and how cool it could go at night. If anyone else has any experience here, I'd also welcome your input.

(2) I would have been far more put out about the pool light fiasco and the missed allergies. Wasting a whole day fixing a pool light would have made me head straight to the senior manager on duty. And missing allergies that could result in death would have sent me straight to the F/B director.

Singita Boulders--which we loved and would return to in a heartbeat--missed my allergies three times...and I wouldn't let them forget it. After complaining after each occurrence, they provided us a beautiful tasting menu dinner with my choice of wine pairings to try and make it up to us. (That worked.)

Azura Benguerra--which we'd not return to--had an air con and lighting fail that caused repair people to be in our Presidential Villa for an entire day. After they acted like nothing had happened at all, I insisted they refund 1 night of our stay for the ridiculous inconvenience. (They did...though they tried to renege until I threatened to post a TripAdvisor review with their written confirmation of that refund.)

Amanwana--which we'd consider returning to for the Amanira live-aboard--had an air con failure that caused repair people to be in our tent for an entire day. They were so apologetic and tried so hard in other ways to make it up for us that I never asked for anything. In the end, they did let us leave early and switch us to Amanusa.

(3) Sounds like COMO still has some work to do on service and food. We have faith in COMO that they will get it right.
