FYI I flew last week restricted CE LGW-AMS and AMS-LCY and was able to change my seat free on the day on both legs online, no problem. Just did a dummy booking LCY-AMS return CE restricted and the free same day change appears in the conditions, so this seems like it now applies across the board to AMS from any LON airport.
