Tier points on identical AA flight numbers
I need some last minute tier points. I want to book DFW-IAH then IAH-DFW on the same day. The back to back flights have the same flight numbers. Will this cause an issue for the tier points to post correctly? Should I avoid it?

Would it matter if they're on separate bookings?
