And does 3 hours seem like more than enough time at ATL for dinner, while still making a connection? After all the train is quick and it sounds like it's easy to get around even though it is large.
You are correct, there is only a single airside in ATL and it's all connected with the train or walking. Three hours should be more than enough time. I've gone from T1 to F1, probably the farthest two gates in the airport, in less than 15 minutes, it was a quick pace but it can be done.
