If the AS award flights show up during an award search at aa.com, then they should be bookable with BA Avios -- at BAEC's redemption rates. Any AS award seats that appear on aa.com will be lowest-tier award seats, which are the only ones for which BA Avios can be redeemed. But BA charges an awful lot of Avios for F award seats, so this might not be such a good deal, even when it's available on your desired flight(s).
