Status generally makes no difference to an individual hotels stance on storing luggage. No hotel in my experience allows you to walk off street and park luggage and without having a reservation and first staying at the hotel.
Many different policies regards storing post checkout, ymmv
a)hotel will only store on the day of checkout until you depart the area that day (say till you go to airport later that evening)
b)will only store for a guest with an imminent return booked, eg 2weeks overall stay but middle weekend you checkout to visit some other place so just take some hand luggage and park suitcases
c)Even then it is rare for hotel to let you leave left luggage if departing their country.
d)not all hotels have a luggage storage rooom (luggage is left in staff office/behind reception/in spare guest room) In this case hotel can only just look after caes for checking out guests that afternoon/evening period.
e)one is always asked for room number, so hotel can tie luggage to guest (and trace guest even if guest forgets to return )
