Yes - I had this dispute with AS before. I flew NW flight numbers SFO-DTW-EWR - one flight was CO metal. I did not get MVP status miles for the single CO metal flight.

They confirmed that this is their policy. If it was an AS code share on CO then I think that is bad form.
