I'm getting out from under 5/24 mid-August, so might just downgrade and go for CSR of CSP then to have transfer-ability of UR - but I have to PC this card by 8/4, so will have a couple weeks without that option... hoping no awesome deals come up during that period!
I assume my strategy would work - I have a Freedom and Ink Bold now... so I downgrade Ink BOld to Ink Cash, while just those 2, I can't transfer. I apply later in August for CSR/CSP and assuming approved, I'm back in UR-transferability territory like nothing happened, right?
update: called in to downgrade to Ink Cash - apparently if you downgrade after the fee posts its a prorated refund? this was towards end of bill due date - seemed odd, pushed, but nothing the rep could do - she gave me 1k UR to make up for the ~$8 prorated fee, so that worked.
