LX E-dock F lounge's restaurant in my opinion serves more sophisticated food, it is a restaurant style feel dinning as compare to more of a buffet style in LH (though in LH, you can order schnitzel, bayerische wurst, must also say the iberico ham, salami etc. in LH lounge are the best).
If you want the LX driver experience, head to A terminal F lounge and you will be asked if you would like to be driven to the E-dock F lounge (assuming your flight is non-schengen departing from E).
F&B: Wouldn't say that one of them is always better, depends very much on the month and the FA's plating, too.
Suites: Don't think there is a huge difference.
Towels: Unless you want to go on intergalactic travel, the LH
towel does just fine.
Lounge food: I see your point, as the buffet food at the FCT can be somewhat stale during slow periods. But then again, you can always order something fresh.
Driver experience: He said he will travel "from" LAX, i.e. will most likely have to walk from dock E (intercontinental arrivals) and take the Heidi train to D for his departure to LHR.
There isn't a huge difference and it all comes down to personal preferences, but wouldn't say that LX wins outright in each category.
There is one category LX wins hands down: The day rooms at the FCL in dock E. Awesome!
