We are moving to Spain for a year in November with our two cats. The plan is to fly Lufthansa because they have a pet-care facility at FRA itself. During our layover the cats get looked over, fed, watered, etc.

My question is: Has anyone had experience flying Lufthansa with pets in the Business cabin? My husband spoke with a rep and they said it IS possible, however I had emailed them six months ago and they said no. Of course we will confirm, re-confirm this with them when it comes time to get our tickets.

In the mean time, I thought I'd ask here. I already know about their cargo program and that it is possible in the main cabin.

Our flight plan is probably: SEA>FRA>MAD via Lufthansa Business, then MAD>EAS via Iberia (main cabin).

Normally we'd just fly main cabin but since this is a big move, I'd rather be able to have a lie-flat bed, a xanax, and let my nerves of steel husband mind the kitties while I sleep off the anxious feelings, lol.
