Appalling. How late was the seat shift? If very last minute, might it have thrown the on board manifest into chaos? Either way, there is no excuse for the non-service. Sounds like this was a mixture of a systems failing and poor crew attitude. Definitely complain to BA and name the crew members if you have that information.
