US to SE Asia on Qatar

Hey all, have just begun my first deep dive into booking a US to SE Asia award trip on QR. We're getting married next May in St. Martin and are hard at work trying to figure out an awesome place for a honeymoon, while leveraging the ~400K miles we have between us. Ideally, our honeymoon takes off from MIA since we'd likely be connecting there coming back from St. Martin, hence why I'm looking at QR. I've done a bit of research and read this forum some.

Right now, I'm seeing good availability on ba.com for MIA-DOH-CGK or SGN or KUL. I made one quick call to AA US to confirm how many miles it would cost, and she said that MIA-DOH-MLE (initially what I was looking at) was not a possible routing on QR with AA miles.

2 questions off the bat.

1) MIA-DOH-XXX (SE Asia destination) in biz will cost 70K AA miles + $92. Is that
accurate?
2) Booking through AA US on the phone is hit or miss, or is it impossible? Related, booking through AA AU/NZ phone is still the option that has the best chance?
