i have never connected in KWI. Personally, if I were arriving between 8pm and 12am, I'd allow three hours and ensure I had arranged the visa meet and greet service. If it was another time of day, I would still have three hours but you can do the visa yourself (assuming you are a US citizen). You will save yourself 10KWD doing it yourself.
