Aramark (a foodservice company) seem to be using FreedomPay now, in addition to using brand new POS hardware (formerly Micros). I went to their licensed Starbucks inside Georgetown University. Starbucks Card is now POS-integrated with barcode support, and Apple Pay (Debit MC) worked perfectly on the iPP350. No EMV yet, but it’s still good to see latecomers installing the necessary equipment.
I went the Pikes Peak gift shop at 14000ft and it was run by Aramark but they use Genius with MX915's and of course no chip but contactless worked just fine.
Yesterday I went to a local cafe that had a VX520 in the back before but now moved to 2 FD130's that prefer us debit over the global AID but they now support EMV contactless instead of MSD ctls. Its easier to tap as the FD130 is in the front near the register and it showed the Apple Pay logo on the screen even. But it was on wifi so it seemed to be process a lot slower than a wired VX520 does.
