I've recently invested in the "thin" Sony digicam, otherwise known as the Cybershot DSC-T1.

It's absolutely marvellous!

BUT make sure when you buy it, you get them to supply it with a original Sony-branded battery. Luckily, when I bought it I noticed the "GOKI" battery (or somesuch brand) and got them to swap it!
