Thanks Guys. I used Qantas points plus pay.
Since I was only cancelling the outbound flight and not the incoming flight.
Qantas charged me $40 to cancel the outbound flight. No points returned or refund.
If I didn't fly on the outbound flight I would have been a no show and not be able to return on the flight back.
