I suppose it never hurts to email and ask. After all, the worst they can do is say no. Perhaps email the concierge first and mention that since it's a very special occasion, you'd be very happy if the hotel could arrange any upgrade, even a paid upgrade. Mention how happy all your past experiences at the hotel have been, and how excited you are to be returning for your wedding. (Remember, you catch more flies with honey than vinegar ) If the concierge route fails, repeat the above with the hotel GM, and hopefully that will yield a satisfactory result.
