computer is looking for flights with the same booking classes.
Only in a PNR where prime ticket issue was needed would cause flights to cancel out.
A booking that was previously ticketd but was waiting for reissue would not cause flights to cancel out.
However a schedule change that affected minimum connecting time would auto cancel the flights so i think that is actually the more likely scenario.
