In this particular case the information they've given to you does indeed appear to be accurate.
My point was that BA547 was scheduled to arrive at 16:55 and BA782 was scheduled to depart at 17:00. So G-EUXI cannot have been the aircraft originally intended for BA782, hence am wondering the real reason for the delay (and the cynic in me kicks in...)
