Obviously its the perception of cheapness having to eat out of paper cup while seated in a premium cabin (gasp!). While not ideal, at least they came up with an interim solution, where in the past they would have either suspended featuring the ice cream until the new glassware became available or just used it as an opportunity to phase it out.
The problem is people expect SQ/EK F service.....but are only willing to pay for UA J. Polaris is not without its flaws, but its still a step in the right direction. As for the claims that "UA is unable to deliver what is advertised" or "a year later and nothing to show"....well its about 9 months later and its still a work in progress (but then again so is UA) so any changes now may not necessarily reflect the future produce going forward. I take UA soliciting feedback as an indication that even they know there is room for improvement.
I can't understand is why there was the expectation that somehow on DEC 01 2016 when Polaris launched, everything would be perfect. Not even the sacred DL is without flaws; but what really doesn't make sense to me is that if Polaris is soooo horrible (which I think a lot of the gripes are overly exaggerated)....why do people still continue to fly UA?
