I think you probably qualify for access two ways. (1) As part of international itinerary. (2) because you hold NZ *G status and the RCC access restriction is only for UA and US *G's (unless also having paid RCC membership).

To be safe I would find the rule which confirms this and take a printout with you, to deal with the lounge bouncers.
