AA Boarding Announcements Computerized Voice

Heard this at the gate in PHX and then a few days later in SEA. Did not hear it in DSM or PHX on the return.

Not to be offensive, but the voice they are using for the pre-recorded boarding announcements sounds like Stephen Hawking's computer voice. Like a 2004 version of a Speak & Spell.

It is just grating, terrible, and frankly insincere. The worst part, is they have it scripted to say "I am here to help if you need any assistance in the boarding process." Are they seriously to expect us to believe that this computerized voice is actually the GA?

Why are they using this awful voice? They really couldn't have paid someone to record the script for the boarding process, and then play that? They could even have a man and a woman each record it, so whatever gender the GA is, they could select that recording.

It was nearly laughable, but it really makes the boarding experience significantly worse in my opinion, and gives AA the impression of being "cheap," that they just got this computer voice instead of a true recording. Or, god forbid, the GA actually making clear and coherent announcements.
