The Courtyard has much better options for food.
I stay at this hotel a lot. I suppose I'm irritated that after at least 50-75 nights there and as a plat premier, I've never been upgraded to a suite -- just a regular room on 16.
As for the food, I suspect the problem is that there are tons of options within a 5-10 minute walk so they can't really compete. The Courtyard is better located with tons of options in an even shorter walk but it is often higher priced than the Marriott and doesn't have a lounge.
