What's so good about those places? I was looking for a place to take my kids hiking/fishing and with a pool. I was hoping for Maine (Acadia Park) but no luck.
Acadea is a full day drive from NYC and IHG hotels in Maine are rarely on the list.
Swansea is close to Cape Cod and some other beaches in MA as well as some nice Portuguese restaurants. Johnstown is not too far from Lake George and is surrounded by different State Forests.
