"Preferred seat" vs. "Standard economy" seat on 773 aircraft?

I'm flying LAX-AKL on a 773 aircraft (the version with 2-2-2 PE seating), and I currently have a "standard economy" seat reserved.
I can choose a "preferred seat" for $50, which would offer priority boarding and 33" pitch instead of 32", but the NZ website shows that some of the preferred seats have 5" recline instead of 6" for the standard seat that I have now.

So, in your opinion, would you pay $50 for the slight upgrade? Since it's an overnight flight and I'll want to get as much sleep as possible, I'd probably stay away from the rows closest to the laws, so that would exclude the groups of two seats on the window sides of the last three rows. On a daytime flight, those seats would probably be okay, although being last to leave the aircraft obviously wouldn't be great.

Do the skybed-capable seats (the HJK block) in rows 37-43 offer any advantages (other than 1" more pitch) compared to the "standard" DEFG seats in the same rows? Is there a footrest, for example?
