Welcome to Flyertalk Boardlady, and welcome to the BA forum. It's always good to get new members here and I do very much hope that you can continue to be active here. Thank you for your question.

Now I've got a bit "history" here, suffice to say I'm not entirely enamoured with WT on this particular aircraft. So definitely, definitely try and upgrade to WTP if you can, at which point the experience transforms from being a bad aircraft to being a very good one. So either look out of an upgrade offer in Manage My Booking or perhaps if your ticket allows, try and upgrade with Avios.

Seatguru is pretty much to be avoided on BA, it's very poorly maintained. There are mistakes that I pointed out to the site owner 8 years ago which are still there. It's essentially an advertising sink site. Luckily we have thebasource.com to help, and that is very well maintained.

That particular seat suffers from the arching of the fuselage, so you don't get much wall space to lean on, but otherwise you are correct. However I wouldn't worry about other people and reclining: on WT, after the food is served, most people are going to be reclining on the night flight - and generally so on a day flight too. So it's not worth concerning yourself about that. The back of seat IFE doesn't work well to heavy pressing either, so that shouldn't be a big problem either.

But more information can be found in the forum's Dashboard, notably the seating guide to the 787 to be found therein.
