HI Downtown Dubai is a straightforward, unreformed old-style HI. Good value, but likely to emerge from current refurbishment with higher prices.

Yas island CP gets good reviews, but I can't for the life of me think who'd stay there, outside those with work close by, or motor-sports enthusiasts.

Abu Dhabi has a lovely, very centrally situated CP.
"Lived" in the Yas CP for 4 months back in 2011 when it was fairly newly opened. Great hotel. Huge rooms, nice pool and restaurants. Stills bar also good. Admittedly there is still nothing around apart from the track and now the mall. There are still staff there since then that still recognise me and have a bit of banter.

But yeah, head and shoulders above any US CP I've been in. Others I would use regularly would be the one near Schiphol. They recognise status pretty well there and the suites are nice...generally a well priced hotel for the area.

CP Madrid airport. Again nice rooms, location bloody awful. Cheap as chips. Last week was 53 euros a night.
