I no longer have status with Air Canada, but have silver with United due to being Marriott platinum. Some questions;

1) I changed frequest flier program to united online on the AC website. However, it still says I have to pay baggage fees. Is this just an IT glitch?

2) as I read the Star Alliance chart, it says I can take 3 bags free, is this correct?Flights are to US.

3) last question, can I associate my mileageplus number with an Aeroplan reward ticket so I can get the associated benefits?
