the company I work for doesn't allow first (which is fine) but I'm more than willing to buy up after they pay for the base flight. I've noticed that if I price out FC from the start then it costs almost $300 less than the 'upgrade' delta offers me inside the reservation on slc-jfk. Has anyone successfully gotten them to give you the actual difference on the upgrade rather than the inflated upgrade after you've purchased?
