That's true for Hawaii (StR Princeville was better food/beverage than FS Hualalai that ran out of rum, FS Manele Bay Lanai that served warm Pinot Noir bottles and overcooked burgers, FS Koele Lanai that served cold food and undercooked/overcooked food for pavilion anniversary dinner), Punta Mita (StR Carolina restaurant far superior than anything at FS), Bora Bora (FS guests frequently came over to StR for Lagoon fine dining and other StR dining options), etc.
It's also weak at Four Seasons Seoul too. Very overpriced and the portion /quality isn't there for what's given. Couldn't make a simple Nicoise salad and blamed it on being off menu dish and "regional variations". I've had many Nicoise salads at different hotels and they generally followed a consistent pattern. Meanwhile, FS Seoul was all over the place.

Was served a pretty much raw lamb burger from Maru before and no attempts to rectify the situation. I was just expected to take it I guess.

Kioku is a beautifully designed Japanese restaurant that requires a Black Card budget and a guest who doesn't care about good eating.. Almost 40 dollar(!) soba noodles came with a puddle of water and poor condiments. Child sized sushi on another occasion. You get what's on the plate for close to 95 bucks.

I realize outlets need to make money for the hotel but there's no excuse for a top luxury brand to be providing subpar food at atmospheric prices. There's no StR Seoul but I believe they would do a better job than the Four Seasons Seoul!
