Thank you both! When I went back online to check, it tried to flog me the upgrade again. However, arriving into T5 with plenty of time, the agent told me I was indeed upgraded. She did some typing, wrote down a fare code, and typed some more, so I imagine she reticketed me, before she checked me in. I guess I should be prepared for the flakiness of BA.com by now.
