I understand third party bookings are not eligible for stay credits/points; but do the status benefits apply? Booked a stay through Chase UR portal @ a property in Paris and would love to see if I can score an upgrade. At other chains (Marriott, SPG, etc.) they all honored status benefits but not sure how this works with BW.

Also, is it worth a call to the property to add the membership number manually? I wonder if properties in Paris proactively upgrade rooms prior to arrival.
