I am in the process of booking flight for south east asia next july. I have MR and UR points. My plan is to go with Cathay pacific sgn-hkg-sfo. If I book directly with Asiamiles, they require 85k/business tix. However, for hkg-sfo, I only need 70k. As of right now, I have 140k MR, so I can secure 2 J seats for hkg-sfo. Using UR, I can secure 2 tix sgn-hkg with cathay pacific using British airline avios. The 2 flights are with Cathay pacific but booked on 2 different tickets. I have 100 minutes in transit. Currently I have the long haul hkg-sfo booked already. What should I do? please advice.
