First post to *A forum, and look forward to the collective wisdom of the forum.

Long time ago had Travelclub status on SwissAir, then M&M Silver status. Now for many years have rarely flown *A.
Doing more flying nowadays, mostly on OW (BA GCH); however, looking for a *A programme for the times when I can't get a suitable OW fare.
Further, since we can often find good deals on EK, would like a place to park miles earned on EK, rather than join the lousy skywards

(1) What is your home airport?
- BCN, and MAD as an alternate, often positioning elsewhere for best deals

(2) What types of fares do you usually buy ? (C, F, Y, etc.)
- nearly always J on the best possible deals

(3) How many miles do you usually fly each year? (<25K, 25k-50k, >50k)
- 25-50K

(4) Do you have any kind of status at present? What is it?
- None on *A

(5) What is most important to you in a FFP? (Frequent upgrades on travel, priority services when flying the airline, good award redemption rates, free lounge access, etc.)
- upgrades,
- good award redemption

(6) Which routes do you fly most often (US Domestic, Transpacific etc)
- intra-EU 4-5/year,
- EU-USA 1-2/year,
- Asia 1-2/year,
- Southern Africa 1 every 2 years

(7) Preferred Airlines
- LH/LX only other *A I have flown is TK and SA
- Outside *A, EK and QR

(8) Do you travel for work or pleasure?
- Both, self-employed, I pay for my own tickets and can choose the airline, class and route
