I'm a McK*** and when my last passport was issued in 2007, they added a space and issued it as Mc K***.

I've never had a problem with UA, Pre-Check, etc. It's a complete non-issue and I've just sent it back in for a renewal and expect it to be issued the same way again.

I've also never had an issue at hotels, car rentals, etc.
