If there's 0 award availability and you cancel, someone else might book and take the last of the award inventory before you rebook.

Redeposit doesn't always happen instantly after cancellation, so you *may* end up having to call to force the redeposit so you can rebook the flight again before availability disappears.

Otherwise, cancel and rebook to your heart's content.

For the moment it seems there is still award space on that day or close so that's not issue, for now at least.

Does this qualify for a suspension or review of my Mileageplus account? I have read their terms and found nothing in this respect, and have also read of other people getting terminated by doing this, given they were doing this between 11-18 times and very close to travel date (http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/unite...nt-closed.html).
My flight would be mid or late August.
