I understand holding OP responsible for dropping his/her phone, but why do you give DL a pass on being responsible for maintaining its aircraft? If it fell onto the tarmac or into the toilet or under another passenger's foot, okay. But it fell into a hole that shouldn't be a hole. Similar to spilling hot coffee: if the coffee served is hotter than Satan's anus when it really shouldn't be, it changes the equation. What part of this doesn't resonate with you?
