Agreed - nothing special will happen at check-in. You should simply get a normal room in the hotel.
A five-star for $160 is a nice deal, but the big chains must have done their math and decided that PL is a valuable way to fill rooms, because they all do it - even at their 4- and 5-star hotels where they stand to make big profits if they can fill rooms the "normal" way.
I don't have problems these days with unprofessional treatment from the front desk at the big chains because of Priceline. They see it every day. If anything, they should respect you more because you know how to play the travel game.

But don't get aggressive with the Gold card:
everybody is SPG Gold these days, and they
do know you used Priceline. If you demand perks, it might backfire and get you assigned to a broom closet.

Be nice, and you will hopefully get a pleasant room.
