You can sometimes get points for hotels ... but airlines are a bit more strict.

Delta's earnings have benefited to the tune of half a billion or so from selling their stake in Priceline over the last year or so ... being a good customer of Priceline, I'm very happy about that because it can only mean good things for the airline to be earning plenty of $$$ that's not coming out of my pocket.

Priceline's Market Cap is $6.79 Billion ... Delta's is only $6.57 Billion! I personally think PL does have a good chance for success if they don't get killed by Orbitz, but I don't think they are worth $6.79 Billion ... especially when you consider Expedia market cap is only $842 Million and Travelocity's is $305 Million.
